Judgeships should not be lifetime appointments.
I would support a Constitutional Amendment that restates Section 1 of Article III as follows:
The Judges, both of the supreme and inferior Courts, shall hold their Offices for an eight year term during good Behaviour, and shall, at stated Times, receive for their Services, a Compensation, which shall not be diminished during their Continuance in Office. Judges may, at the discretion of the Executive and Legislative branches, be appointed to one additional eight-year term.
